6th Grade Curriculum
The Question:

Do you
know of any good Sunday school curriculum for 6th grade? I’ve
struggled to find good stuff over the past few years. We do BRICK for 7th
& 8th grade Sunday school.
Your Answers:
1.
Check out
www.KarynHenley.com Solid stuff.
Easy to use and reproducible. We cut off the bindings (in Paynesville we
used it for all grade school ages) and put it in document protectors
and binders so we could reuse it each year. --Joe Williquette
2.
I have found
David C. Cook to be a good curriculum for those in the younger grads. The last
year (and now this) my teacher for middle school has used it and loves it. It
give her options to chooses from but isn't so stringent that she can't improvise
a little if she wants. – Kyle Cross
3. We are going to use Grapple for Jr. High this year. I am pretty new at my job but my leaders who have been here for many years said Grapple is a great curriculum! Just a thought! --Zach Marino
4.
The first two years of the Student Life material is good for 6 & 7 graders,
Christ & Character,

Christ & and character overview of those from the OT. – Steve Bellingar

I am the
children’s pastor who works with Kenny (Willmar EFC) and we have used Gospel
Light curriculum for Sunday school for years. As usual, we don’t use it in
the manner they recommend, but I do like most of the ideas that we borrow from
the material. On Wed nights we have used in Club 56 (original I know) a
discontinued Charisma Life product that was a bit charismatic in philosophy, but
with some modification had good stuff for that age. We are switching to
Grapple from Group this year upon a recommendation from a fellow seminary
student. It came yesterday and I think it will go well. The design
is preteen Sunday school with a internet twist, though we are using it on Wed
nights. Hope that helps and feel free to email back any questions (if I
don’t know answers, I will make something up that sounds good J) -- Brad
